Mangoes grow well in frost-free areas with excellent drainage. The tree will need some type of basic cover when it eventually flowers for good fruit-set. It will need to be grown in a container if you get frost or have poor draining soils. It will take approximately 5 years for fruiting to commence.
Indian mangoes are known for being sweet and aromatic. Mangoes usually grow similar to their parent but may have some variance.
