Cherimoya, also locally known as the custard apple, is a delicious fruit which is creamy and sweet, with flavours generally ranging from banana to pineapple. They grow well in any frost-free locations with decent drainage and are generally quite hardy.
This plant has been grafted with the ‘Wookie’ variety. It is a New Zealand-developed variety selected for its large size and flavour, combined with a long fruiting season.
These plants have been flowering already but we recommend you pull fruit off for the next couple years to allow the tree to establish. They are self-fertile, so you only need one but they are so good that you might want more.
